The Idea
Pianists are always looking for concert opportunities. Being hired externally is, of course, ideal! But reality is often different.
Concert halls cost money to rent, advertising is expensive, and classical music audiences are widely scattered, usually only numerous in large cities.
With our new online concert series, we solve most of these problems and bring pianists and a global audience together!
Thanks to sophisticated live streaming technology with the world market leader Vimeo, location is no longer a major factor; the pianist can play at home on their own grand piano. The world’s time zones are served in three segments: Western, Europe, and Eastern.
Because pianists register on this website, pianist.pianoforte.best, and generate 10 contacts per concert, a large social network of listeners quickly develops, growing virally into a high-caliber pianist community. This way, more and more pianists and listeners can share their enthusiasm for the pianoforte!
Application
- Apply as a pianist by sending an email to pianist[AT]pianoforte.best with the following information:
- Pianist diploma
- URL of your website
- URL of your YouTube channel
- Your program proposal (60 minutes including breaks between pieces)
- The program should have a theme: “Early Bach,” “Chopin’s Miniatures,” “Pure Romanticism,” “Music from Beyond”
- Your request for three dates with the same program from our Google Calendar, one of each:
- Western Globe (UTC-5) – indicate No. 1
- Europe (UTC+1) – indicate No. 2
- Eastern Globe (UTC+8) – indicate No. 3
- Your confirmation that you agree to the terms and conditions and payment terms below
- Your confirmation that your three concerts will automatically qualify you for the akw – alternativer festival without any further participation fees If you would like to participate in the piano competition,
Terms and Conditions:
- By participating, you assign your rights to the image and sound to the DoctorsDome.center | Wolfgang Ellenberger association,
- including further multimedia use of the material.
- At the same time, you receive the rights to use the material independently and free of charge.
- You confirm your own registration and the recruitment of 10 subscribers and submit the email addresses under which these subscribers registered as proof.
- You agree to payment via your PayPal account, which you can set up free of charge if necessary.
- Fee:
- We would like to pay you a fair fee.
- In the initial phase, we primarily need pianists as active musicians and audience members who pay €25 per year.
- With 1,500 subscribers, we can pay you approximately €1,800 for a weekend with three one-hour concerts.
- The higher the number of subscribers, the more this will be.
- Therefore, it makes sense for you to recruit subscribers in general!
- Until we reach that point, we can only pay you 60% of the annual revenue, even though this is less than the amount mentioned above. We can then settle the bill at the end of the year. For this commitment, you will have the honor of having participated in the founding of the portal and the opportunity to perform here again later – certainly for a higher fee.
- This corresponds to a standard profit-sharing arrangement between artist and management.
- If you wish and have directly recruited 10 or more subscribers and can provide proof of their email addresses, you will receive 60% of the subscription fees from these recruited subscribers as a commission, paid into your PayPal account.
- We hope for your cooperation so that pianists can participate in the success of the pianist portal with a single subscription for €25 per year.
Technical Details
- Camera Option 1: HD Video Phone
- For your phone, purchase the NDI HX Camera app for approximately €20 and install it.
- This turns your phone into a studio camera, eliminating the need to buy a separate camera.
- Download NDI tools from https://ndi.video (free, registration required).
- Install NDI tools and select the NDI Webcam program (see video below). [Your phone and computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network!]
- Select your NDI HX camera as Webcam 1 AND choose the correct audio option.
- Camera Option 2: HD or 4K camera with HDMI or USB capture access to the computer, allowing you to select the camera as described in point 5 (e.g., MiraCard; do NOT use cheap capture cards, which often have terrible audio quality).
- Audio: Get a good microphone and a connection to your PC/Mac, most likely a 3.5 mm jack. mm
- For a static camera position, a standard photo tripod is sufficient.
- Open the guest link in the Google Chrome browser (Chrome browser ONLY!). See the video below and this help page.
- Select your camera and microphone.
- Enter your name correctly in your stream and enter studio6.
- Then I will have your signal available in HD or 4K video and audio via the camera in the studio.
